What Creative OS does
Analytics
The system can retrieve metrics from platforms that the operator explicitly authorizes, so performance can be reviewed over time without relying on manual screenshots.
YouTube integration
Creative OS uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API, to read information and analytics for YouTube channels that the operator owns or is explicitly authorized to access.
Read-only access
The integration requests only these Google OAuth scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly
Creative OS does not use these scopes to upload, edit or delete YouTube videos, comments, playlists or channel settings.
Data read from YouTube
- Channel identifiers and basic channel metadata.
- Video identifiers and publication metadata.
- Public/statistical video metrics such as views, likes and comments when available.
- Authorized YouTube Analytics metrics for the connected channel.
How access is controlled
- Google OAuth is used for authorization.
- YouTube passwords are never requested or stored.
- Access can be revoked from the user's Google Account permissions at any time.
- Only the authorizing operator is intended to access authorized data.
YouTube terms
By using Creative OS features that access YouTube API Services, the authorizing user agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Use of Google and YouTube data is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
